MPO fiber optic patch cable is composed of MPO connector and fiber optic cable, in which MPO connector is a high-density multi-fiber connector, which is molded in MT pins using precision molds and applied in high-density fields, and the fiber type is usually OM3 multi-mode fiber or OM4 multi-mode fiber.

MPO fiber optic connectors contain optical fiber, sheath, coupling assembly, metal ring, pin, dust cap, etc., and the pin part is divided into two forms: male and female. The male connector has two PIN pins, while the female connector does not.The connection between MPO connectors is made by precise alignment of the PIN pins. When mating the connectors, a spring mounted on the end of the insert provides a push on the insert to lock it to the adapter.
